CPAR in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines Foundation conducted a Youth Champions Training closing and recognition program

A Youth Champions Training closing and recognition program was conducted on July 29, 2025, at the Ethiopian Aviation University auditorium in the presence of government officials, Embassy of Canada officials, officials of CPAR (Canadian Physician for Aid and Relief), representatives from Ethiopian Airlines, and other invited guests.

CPAR’s Youth Empowerment Initiative was launched to honour the legacy of ET-302 victims by investing in the potential of Ethiopia’s youth. In the first two rounds, the initiative reached over 550 disadvantaged students from 11 public schools across Addis Ababa, equipping them with leadership, civic engagement, volunteerism, and resilience-building training.

This year as well, nearly 300 additional youth trainees will graduate, affirming the belief that young people are not merely beneficiaries of development efforts, but active architects of change on national and global stages.

Ethiopian Airlines Foundation and CPAR have been working together on the successful implementation of the program following the MoU signed by Ethiopian Group CEO and the country director of CPAR in 2023.
